jed-extra software package provides collection of useful Jed modes and utilities, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jed-extra
jed-extra is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jed-extra package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jed-extra *
You will get with jed-extra package name, version, architecture and description in a table
